You couldn't fake it

You couldn’t fake it.

The blush has brushed the sky
a water-coloured sun
lazing its late descent
beyond an open mouthed horizon.
An undulating amber glist of water
the pathway to your decline
and a hushed soundtrack
soft lisps against sandy cymbals.
Evening comes,
its dark gown begins to mantle
the closing day,
as this last swirl of colour
laughs in the face of time.
Today segues into yesterday;
tomorrow waits in ambush
with fresh palette and brush.

Keith - this is my second visit to enjoy your poems and photos. I sought you ought again to invite you to a site I just opened. It will be a bit before its buzzing, but would love it if you'd jump in and be part of that. It's for Christian poets who are serious about the craftsmanship of poetry and creating a stronger Christian presence in the art world. http://www.thesaltstream.com

hope to see you there!

I am so glad you are a member of the "ring" ... it makes it so much easier to visit your blog.

Your photos and words truly speak to the spirit.

Thank you, Francine

Keith, my son was amazed at the two suns you 'pictured' for him. It reminded me of a lovely day on Sucomuno!
