About me

Keith Wallis is an English poet.
Until recently a senior part of the leadership team of Houghton Regis Baptist church.

And an engineering designer by trade he brings a eye for detail as well as faith into his poetry.
As well as being ‘poet in residence’ at Ruby e-zine for a long time he was also a moderator at ChristianWriters.com.
On this blog of ekphrastic poetry ( http://wordsculptures-keith.blogspot.com/ you’ll also find links to previews of his books.
Another of his blogs 'a River of small Stones' has much shorter concise pieces and some haiku: http://ariverofsmallstones.blogspot.com/

He also has a primarily 'words only' site: wordsculpture  on wordpress.

Married to Val in 1970 they have two sons and three grandsons. The eldest grandson is disabled and cannot communicate verbally.
Though not an ‘academic’ (school was a disaster for him AND his parents) he was always fond of writing. He began submitting work for publication in the 1980’s after being encouraged by David R. Morgan (David R Morgan) at that time a community writer in residence.

He began submitting work for publication in the 1980’s. Small press magazines were in their heyday and a number of small press magazines and anthologies took the work. He also produced the cover art for a number of books by other poets and graphics which appeared in the magazines. Four small booklets were published over the following few years, three published by Stride Publications and one by Sol Publications.
Recently work has been published by:
RootsWorship, EveryDayPoets, PoetryMonthly International, Word Catalyst Magazine,
The Cypress Times, Christian Poet's Pen, Perpetual Magazine, Bewildering Stories,
FaithFilledFamily magazine, Ruby magazine, Poetry Space and others.
