It’s no go
snow go slow
nation at a standstill.
Cars, like icicles,
cling to driveways,
snow-blind windscreens,
Christmas cakes
kerbside.

Schools out
and so are the kids
toboggans art the hillsides
velocities calculated.
Snowballs defined,
trajectories prescribed
tactics delivered.

This is the real ‘white board’.
