attraction within
draws the thorny attention
of beauty without
yellow incenses
delight the summer garden
the rose is praising
bees in petal pews
sing their honeyed worship song
busy in their work
the world passes by
in ignorant day dreaming
but prayers still rise
the church is not walls
wherein God dwells silent
but canvas in wait
