You wear the rain

You wear the rain
like a jewel
it touches your naked beauty
bringing its colourless highlights
a sprinkle of sparkle
in carats and grains
around you.
This is no tiara
sitting in its own majesty
but the necklace,
adoring,
around a throat
in obeisance.
It searches your manifold layers
like eyes searching
for your soul
but its probing exploration
cannot reach within
where love lives.
