15. Craggy face

The wall stares down
heavy browed,
its weather beaten wrinkles
battlescars of a war with decades.
There is a frown there
as the stoney weight of years,
in its revealing and transforming,
reduces monsters to minnows
and elevates the insignificant.
The craggy face of time
rarely smiles
as it marches with disdain
in its déjà vu circle.
