Behold I give you the morning*

*a line from ‘I Give You The Morning’ by Tom Paxton.

Morning comes:
a searching beam,
light dripping soundlessly from the trees,
as the moisty mist recoils.
Morning comes
the new entry on a blank page
and with the drying of ink
passes as time.
‘Behold I give you the morning’
I give you the bright enlightening of day
chasing night into shadows
black dog grumbles and black horse dreams.

Impressive. The imagery is amazing. I think this is one of the best you have done. Beautiful.

Beautiful, Keith. Absolutely beautiful. One of your best in my opinion, although they are all very good! Applauding.
