Catching bubbles

Living
is catching bubbles
when muscles disobey,
life is round corners,
and everything is out of reach.
Tantalus rules this empire.
Reaching out, touching
where things have been,
feeling only echoes,
shadows of
burst and tickle.
Yet the smile that
fills your life
brings a sheen of rainbow
into ours.
