Holly bush.

Holly, spiked by frosted grip
shouts its presence in dark red tones
from a backcloth of shifting mists.
See, here is blood not conjured by thorn or spike;
fruity notice of invitation for the midwifery of birds,
boarding pass for transport and new life.

One of the things I miss most from Germany is the way ice would paint its own picture on nature. These photos capture that beauty perfectly. And I love the Christmas tree.

Thanks, Keith

I love your words and the picture of the Holly...It reminded me of a huge Holly tree which grew on my mother In laws Property many years ago..
