Seedling of disturbed ground,
today, intrigued by tomorrows vaguery
looks to yesterday for comfort.
Each new day factoring a future yesterday
into filling banks,
each blink or pulse a lifedrop
spooning into experiences ocean.
Tomorrow and yesterday in monochrome
sing into today;
melancholy and bright heart
equal brushes on our canvas.
A tear the hue of pain,
smile a pastel shade of joy.
Each encountered phrase
additional notes
to an unfinished symphony.
