Tales, unremembered, linger around
crime’s narration and felons found.
Historical ghosts in shame are seen -
imagination of what might have been.
Days un-numbered, humiliation,
rogues brought to book in indignation.
The whispered threat to unruly children
from days of yore and days of when
things were simpler though times were tough
and rough justice was just…….rough.
